前陣子和外國朋友聊天時，剛好聊到「我今天要去看電影」，這時候腦筋突然轉不過來，疑!?到底是要用「Watch」還是「See」呢？(身為大學生感到羞愧…)於是就生出了這篇統整筆記啦~

• 看電影到底要用「Watch」還是「See」呢？

答案是…都可以！只是兩者用法表達的意思會不太一樣。

See a movie 指的是到「電影院」去觀看
Watch a movie 指的則是在「電視、手機、平板」等串流平台上觀看

I saw Avatar: The Way of Water last night.
昨晚我去看了《阿凡達：水之道》

即使並沒有詳細說明，對方還是能知道你是去「電影院」看的。

I watched Avatar: The Way of Water on Disney+ last night.
昨晚我在Disney+上看了《阿凡達：水之道》

使用 watch 後通常會接上觀看的地方(TV、Netflix等)。

• 如何邀請對方看電影？

以下介紹了三種說法

Would you like to see a movie with me later ?
你晚點想跟我去看個電影嗎？ 記得 movie 前要加上冠詞「a」

或者你也可以用「catch」表示

Would you like to catch a movie with me later ?

以及

Would you like to go to the movies with me later ?
這裡的 the movies 要是複數喔，因為這裡的 the movies 代表「電影院」的意思
